My name is Georgette but most people know me as George.
I have owned and run the salon for over 38 years now and I can never imagine a day when I don't.
My passion has always been hair, the way it can make a person feel when their hair feels and looks good. The times people say to me "you have made me feel so much better" whether that is by styling their hair or by them just coming in for a chat!! I like to make everybody from young to old feel the best they can.
I trained in Worcester and I can't say I was the star pupil as I was alway experimenting with cuts and colours on myself and the clients. It was 1977, punk era.
I was always being told, "that won't work" a few times it didn't but most if the time I surprised everybody with creating styles using my imagination instead of following the rules.
I won various completions and was placed in the final 5 in the GB finals for creative styling.
I have trained with Trevor Sorbie in London and have been involved in training young hairdressers within the apprenticeship scheme. I gained my accessors award which enables me to access my apprentices in the salon.
We are a friendly open salon and we try to make everybody feel relaxed and welcome.
As a salon we are constantly learning through our training with L'anza products and services and continue to provide cutting edge products and services to our customers.
I have been part of hair for just over 13 years, I started my training in hairdressing NVQ level 2 and 3.
My favourite part of hairdressing is seeing the end result and a happy client. I really enjoy colour changes and creating a new look through blowdrying.
Emily joined the Hair-103 team in August 2016, since then she has passed her level 2 and 3 in hairdressing, giving her artistic and creative flair whilst learning more complex cutting and colouring.
She has always shared a great passion for the hair industry; and has come from a long line of hairdressers in the family so Emily has watched and seen a great deal of hairstyling and colouring when growing up. This then lead her to furthering her career in hairdressing.
Emily has now started more complex haircutting which she is really excited about. she loves to learn new things and to make you feel and look beautiful.
